Electro 35 GTN - Nothing nails colour like a stepperless
Himatic 7s11 - Just falls into the hand
Fujica Half 1.9 - How did they get so much function and ergonomics into such a small package.

Konica S2
Olympus 35RC
Canonet QL17 III

I certainly like the Canon but I have to admit the other two are way ahead for me. S2 for it's distinct quality, the Oly for it's convenience and size. Not a RF of course, but I love the Ricoh GR1v.

Since my original post in this thread four years ago, my current favorites are:

Olympus XA (I like this camera so much I bought a second one in case one dies).
Olympus RC (esp. for b&w)
Rollei 35

I'm not using my Canonet much, and may sell it. The other cameras are more pocketable.

I only own one fixed-lens camera with a rangefinder, I just bought it and I really like using it: Voigtländer Bessa III ...

I have only owned a handful of them but so far I like my Hi-matic E the best followed closely by the Hi-matic 9 and Petri 7s (wish it's lightmeter still worked but it takes great pics).

My 3:

Fujica GW690
Retina IIa (50/2 Xenon)
Balda Baldamatic (45/2.8)

I use the first two more, but the Balda is quite fun. I don't mind biking with it around my neck for shots from the saddle or curb--which I would never do with the Retina (delicate!) or the Fujica (dangerous!)

Konica Auto S3

Konica Auto S3

The konica auto s3 is the only FLRF I've used and it is very nice. The lens is fantastic.

in no particular order (favorites change place constantly):

Minox 35GT
Retina IIa
Minolta Hi-Matic E
Ricoh 500G
Konica C35

Yashica 35GX [black]
Contax T
Vitessa N w/ Ultron 50/2

Ditto -- have or had the exact same three.

Would also nominate:

Rollei 35S
Konica III series
Ricoh Five-One-Nine
Olympus 35RC (pop favorite)
Retina IIa

Meh (just my 2 cents, YMMV):

Canon QL-17 GIII (another pop favorite)

The Contax T is real nice.

There's a beautiful black one in the RFF classifieds right now... ;)

Chris

I was just going to mention the T ;) Smaller even than the XA, and sports a fantastic Zeiss Sonnar lens. Takes some of the most beautiful pictures of all my cameras -- only thing that comes close is my M8 with the 28/2.8 Biogon ZM attached.
