What Cable Release to Get for R3A

I want to take some Bulb exposures with the R3A but my old cable release (used it with an old Graflex TLR) is too thick. Are there any special cable releases that fit the R3A? Any recommendations on taking long exposure photos with a Bessa?

Don't know what cable release the Graflex takes, but the common ones today are made to the same standard. I'd suggest that you get a lockable one. And old trick is to hold something opaque in front of the lens while starting the exposure: it rules out any possibility of shake. You might also like to search for "reciprocity failure".

My Hama cable (coated type) deteriorated after one year of use .
Recently I got noname Soviet cable (uncoated) for 1/10 price of Hama, and it works perfectly on Bessa, Iskra, Bronica and other vintage stuff.
For long exposures you need cable with locking screw

The PC tapered thread has been standard for many decades. What do you mean by 'too thick'? I just tried a standard cable release on my Graflex 22 and it worked fine, so it's the same fitting as Bessas (which I also have, and use with the same release).

The oldest cable release that I bought new -- American made, cloth covered, in about 1966 -- is still in use, though once a decade I give it a blast with WD-40.
