What camera/lens was this hood for?

Anybody know which lens (or camera?) this hood was intended for? It is marked " Zeiss Ikon Stuttgart 1104 Germany " around the base. It is 40.5mm thread and fits well on my various lenses with that thread size.
Nice heavy plastic or, maybe, Bakelite. It is about twice as big as the Voightlander hood in the photo. So big that I think it would not be especially useful on a 50mm.

For the Biogon 35mm lens, maybe?

It should work fine on J8. I use similar aluminum hood on 35/2.8 Biogon Opton. Haven’t seen any vignetting yet, but it makes the lens much bigger.
Definitely works well with sun.
