What camera to bring in Seoul, Korea

I will be travelling to Seoul this coming week and would like to get some suggestions which is best to bring. I am on business trip and some R&R with my wife and she loves being photographed. My choices are; GR w/GW3 and RX1r or GR w/ GW3 and Pen F with 25 & 45. I want to travel light and my current choice is option 1 but I'm not sure if the reach of 35 will be enough considering cherry blossoms, market and palaces are excellent photo ops :bang:.

I would go with option 2. 35mm and 28mm are too close together and the 45mm on the PenF will be able to make some nice portraits

On my trip to Vietnam in January, I took my GR as well as an OM-1 with 50 and 85. I used the GR most of the time, and would almost suggest just taking it and using the 47mm crop when needed, if shallow depth of field or very large prints aren't essential. However, I also believe one should always have a second camera just in case; so I would to with the Pen and 45 as the backup.

While I LOVE the GR, I'd go with a Pen F (and glass) and an iPhone 7. Not that I have any of the three.

Cherry blossoms are gone, but the roses are starting to bloom. Seoul is densely packed in some places, but it's a lot more open than one would think. I would take a medium-wide and a short tele.

Agree that option 2 is the most logical but I hate changing lenses on the fly. For the GR, I see it as a tool for those shots in the crowded markets and the GW-3 as well. The 35 for those clear open shots like landscapes, palace and photos of my wife with the environment.

quality zoom is best for travel when time is short and photography is no the main purpose.

If no zoom,, a short tele and wide lens on the long side is best. 35 & 90 or 35 & 75 if 35mm camera

Ronald that makes sense but I want something wider than 35. Thinking now of bringing the Pen F with 25 1.8 and 45 1.8 and the GR sans the GW-3 which is quite bulky and heavy. My bag will either be the Domke F803 or the Black Label Evans Walker II.

@Peter Jennigs: Don't worry, if Korea goes we'll prolly all go, so at least you won't be alone.

I don't have either of your kits so I can't advise on them. But I would advise at least one really wide lens. I don't know where you will be able to travel, but there are areas there where streets are narrow, and/or buildings you want to photograph are close together. The first time I was in Korea it didn't take me long to spring for an 18mm lens for my TL Super.
