From today's (May 17, 2011) Globe and Mail, there is the following photo:

The caption says: "U.S. director Gus Van Sant takes a picture during the photocall of "Restless" presented in the Un Certain Regard selection at the 64th Cannes Film Festival"

It is quite amusing to look at his RF camera in a sea of big zooms. But what camera was he using?

Doesn't look like a Leica---no red dot. But in my eyes, it was a RF. The resolution of the picture (even on the larger paper version) is not good enough to show the wordings on the lens.

Any ideas?

MP, MP serial numbering, standard MP covering and a very scuffed and banged up hood on a 35 Summilux. .72 finder I think, hard to read the lettering
