what can be shot ...

Everything good to you Paul. Hospitals are really not that interesting for pictures when you are there for a long time. But it keeps your mind on something else than needles, pumps and strange food!
I spent 3 weeks in an "air-bubble" room (sterile, over pressurized) in 2001 for a stem-cell transplant. Could not leave the room and limited access for visitors. M2 with a 35 Summicron V1 and a Bessa with the 21/4 VC. Lots of pictures of my feet - under blanket, on top of blanket etc. Took some while to start printing and scanning these shots.
Also got the straps forever tangled up in a Hickman valve tubing and 4-5 big beeping machines.
Wish you all the best - and use the recuperation time to take more pictures!
Any procedure like yours does focus your view on life. Things take on a different importance - and you start to pick and choose what to spend time on.
I think I insulted more telemarketers and political party hacks in 1 year after my procedure than in my entire life prior! "I dont have time for you" or sometimes "Oh, go to hell and dont come back!". The best one is "I have cancer and unless you have it - shut up".
Obviously the first question people ask when diagnosed with stuff like that "Oh, how long do I have" and the 2nd question is "How do I avoid paying taxes for that time".
The good thing modern medicine can work wonders today. It might not be pleasant. but it beats the alternative.

Great shots! Great that you kept photographing even in that situation! Awesome.

I wish you a quick and complete recovery!
