Is anyone here using original Nikon rf case? Or maybe you have some alternative recommendation? I'm looking for a case to fit my S2. Original ones go for high prices on 'bay (don't mention all damaged, torn etc. this are cheap).

Would Kiev 2 leather case fit Nikon S2 body? I know that bottom screw has larger thread but it can always be replaced.

The original case for the S2,works fine, although I wouldn't trust the almost 60 year old leather strap - the bottom half is more than enough to protect the body while shooting

You might see high prices ($100 or so) on the cases made for the re-issue nikons from 2000 and 2005, but the old ones are sold for next to nothing or often included with the camera on eBay

There were two models of Nikon S2 cases.

A quite compact one and another one, more padded, with a bottom half having two "descenders". The latter, when used as an half-case, is interesting because it really protects the bottom of the camera from unexpected bumps.

Don't use the original leather strap. Remove it and keep using a strap attached to the camera body. Like this you can easily use the half case, or not.

The Kiev 2 leather case can fit the Nikon S2 body. But you'll have to replace the bottom screw, yes. To do this you'll have to perform some surgery on the leather around the screw, because the screw is trapped between several layers of material.

Thank you all! I think I'll use some equivalent such as kiev or fed case, untill I get dedicated one. I don't like cameras to hang only on strap, especially when it's winter and focusing wheel is hard to use while wearing gloves.
