Update the sensor/processor, improve the lens performance at f/2 and leave off features that try to make it a mini X-Pro.

Personally I would love to see a secondary model with a 35/2 (50mm equivalent) lens. But I don't want that to happen at the expense of screwing with the original design--a simple, fixed lens camera with a slightly wide normal lens and a hybrid optical viewfinder.

Its quite enlightening to understand why there was no Leica IIIe, since the sequence goes iii, iiia, iiib, iiic, iiid..... iiif.

iiie is German abbreviation for "third". This would have been awfully confusing since it was the sixth camera in the iii series

I think if Fuji were inclined to go full frame that they would have with the XT/XP 2 cameras. I doubt that they could make an X100/200 full frame and keep the lens compact enough to keep from spoiling the ergo-metrics of the camera. I'm hoping for an X200 with the 24mp sensor and new processor or even better, an EX-3 with the same.

Darthfeeble, I think I saw a photographer with a, X-E3 in Donostia/San sebastian this summer. I was shocked! It was like an X-E2, with a tilt big screen, in the left side of the camera... I'm not sure, because it was a moment.

The photographer had the camera with a XF35mm 2.0 or XF23mm 2.0 I don't know exactly...

I don't know if I like that bessa-esque slant they've gone with in the step on the top plate. But ISO dial in the shutter speed dial is great and the back look super clean.

I'm also really glad they haven't changed the lens or the optical formula too. I know a lot of people want something faster or a different focal length but that 23mm is really a special little piece of glass. Not as technically good as the other XF 23's, but has the most gentle and charming character around f2 - especially with backlight.

I am glad they're keeping 23mm (35 FOV), but did want an upgrade. Of course I'd take a slightly faster lens, but more importantly was wanting something sharper wide open.

I think it's great that they're incorporating the ISO dial into the shutter dial as well as the larger battery and joystick. Those are great improvements. I do find it disappointing they're not adding any sort of weather sealing. Hopefully the front dial will have the ability to be turned off like a firmware update enabled on the XP2. I taped over that stupid dial because it kept adjusting my shutter speed by mistake.

This will likely be the first generation of x100 I pass on. New sensor and battery are great, but same lens and no weather sealing doesn't give me a compelling enough reason to upgrade from the T.

Over the three generations of X100 bodies, Fuji has made solid improvements each time. The original was far too slow for me and the S sped things up but was still an interface nightmare (4-way controller and non-control wheel for starters). The T really got a lot sorted and I love it. I would be interested in upgrading for the sensor, joystick (I think), and longer batter life. However, I will probably pass since the T really is very good and I would appreciate those things along with lens interchangeability in an X-Pro2 a lot more.
