XP at the present time, but I'm trying to get Vista going on my other laptop.
I'm shocked at all the Mac users here. It's definitely out of sync with the norm. It could be spurious-- sampling error, but I doubt it based on the numbers (133 to 94).
It could be due to Mac users being more willing to participate in the poll, and be "mavericks."
A previous poster also mentioned the apparent anomaly, vis a vis rangefinder users being "control freaks" and Mac users content to let the OS take care of many functions with out manual intervention.
Another way to look at it is the maverick angle, and also the reputation of Macs as being graphics oriented machines. Anyone interested in rangefinder cameras as a category, these days is a maverick. And Mac users tend to be also. Add the graphics angle, and the fact that many members tend to work in photography or graphics related professions, where they're more likely to use Macs than the general population, and that probably accounts for the correlation.
By the way, I'm a big iron (mainframe) bigot. My company is currently migrating workloads off of distributed unix servers, and onto a mainframe, using Linux.
So, hopefully in the future I will answer a poll such as this one as executing from a Linux instance running on an IBM z9 processor.
