I have an old project Standard, basically great camera, but essentially none of the paper thin body covering left-- would be interested in solutions that work on this guy for mine, it has been away out of view for a few years. ;-)

Found it in a shop in Prague, someone had to take it home.

For leatherette, you will not see and Leica Standard option but you can email him and I am positive you'll find what you need.

I had a Orange covering made for my IIc and have a nice Moroccan kit coming for the Model C.

Oddly enough, it still has the older style shoe.

Mine has a square accessory shoe.. hmm

They are often replaced, I imagine they get damaged. Yours has got more paint on it than the rest of the camera!

Wow. I'm so glad you went with black leather to start off, sort of "easing into orange" won't jar so bad.

Nice fit on the covering. I think most of the Plano-Convex VF glass out of other German cameras would be too small but you might get lucky finding a 11x8mm piece that fits perfectly. Else you could modify the M6 offering or a 16x10 piece out of a 45mm Contina (I) I'm happy to give away. As suggested, with the right equipment it could be done quickly and accurately without fracturing the glass. Acetone lightly applied with a qtip will help to get the old piece out.

You're probably already aware that NobbySparrow on ebay has your shutter button guard.

Have fun bringing it back to its former glory.

I'll have to investigate how I could cut a small piece into a smaller piece.. my luck with glass cutting is bad to say the least.. maybe I can farm it out to the local glass shop...

Really happy with it!

The covering I got from Hugostudio.com and picked the small morrocan simply because it looked nice on the Model C featured on the home page.

Oh and for the camera, I shot a few rolls with it and passed it down the line to the next user, it on to the next project for me.

I still have Orangie! The brass is tarnishing well and its rekindled inspiration to do more orange cameras... this time something bigger than a Leica!
