What Discontinued film do u miss most?

Ektar 25 for sharp 8x10" grain free colour prints from Minox negatives.
The results with today's 35mm lenses would be mind blowing.

I'd have to say Agfa CT-18 transparency film. Slightly grainy perhaps by today's 50 ASA (sorry, ISO) standards but lovely, natural colour rendition.

(I also miss the idea of being able to buy Kodak Panatomic-X, even though I never managed to tame its contrast...)

Kodachrome II/25 in 135 and 120 sizes. What a shame.

Has anyone found the reissued Fuji Velvia 50 in the USA? It was supposed to return early in 2007.

Yes. Even though I have a modest supply in the refrigerator, and I *THINK* it can still be had from an online somewhere (ebay?), when it's finally gone, I will miss APX 100, very very much. :(

I miss the red GAF500 boxes, never had any great success with it myself but it jumped of the pages of Vogue and Cosmo at the time

verichrome pan 120.

Another nostaligic vote for Ektar 25, the film with grain smaller than the theoretical resolving power of your lens, and a speed that reminded you why it's necessary to own a f/1.4 lens.

Although I don't shoot much color, I will miss Agfa Ultra 50 when I shoot the last rolls I have in my freezer. Ditto the Kodachrome 25. I have less than than 20 rolls left of each. I also miss Konica's SRG 1600 color neg film- it had a beautiful beautiful soft palette, and gave great results at ISO 1200.

Hi,

I miss Agfapan 100 Professional (slide film). It was, as far as I know, the only slide film with a correct blue colour when photographing blue flowers.
Furthermore, I would like to see Kodachrome II/25ASA on the market again.
All in 135 format.

Regards,
Per

I think my local shop is either unaware of this, or can't sell it fast enough so the price is still an insane $2.50 a 36-exp roll.

I think I'm going on a little shopping spree tonight.

I miss -
Kodachrome II of my childhood- the best of the all the Kodachromes, creamy highlights, beautiful tonality, like a color version of Panatomic X

Agfachrome 1000 - big hard grain and soft colors

Kodak 1000 negative of the 1990s - grainy and understated colors

the Fuji chrome 50 professional film of the 1990s. Pinks tended slightly to the orange but the highlights went on forever and never burned out

APX 100 & 400 for their moody mid greys

Today's underated classic film is Plus X, which may be the best version so far, and a real cousin to Panatomic X.

The original Tri-X (not the current garbage), agfa transparency films 50, 100 and 1000 and Ektachrome commercial 120 from the 60's.

I only know I will miss the greatly underrated APX 100 and 400, and I will deeply mourn Plus-x when it dies (I hope never!)

The incredible Kodak Panatomic X with it's beautiful & dramatic tonality...and the high speed Kodak 2475 Recording film. So sad these were discontinued...especially the Panatomic X.
