Ignorant and stupid to put his pictures online and then cry wolf if someone else uses it. He should be proud that a president uses it. I would have used it positively rather than complain.

Write a letter to the Russian Embassy, with proof that this is in fact your photograph and that you'd like some form of compensation for the use of your photographs. All written in a very friendly and diplomatic way. The few times I had something to do with Russian embassy personal and even the Russian presiden they were very friendly and extremely well educated unlike some other presidents and state guests.
