that meter was evil and poisoned your mind, again!
another lens is what i said, but no, another camera is what you said...

ah well, there is no hope left for you...it's a certified addiction.

You just needed a camera to put that new meter on, right?

Snif! Thanks! Thanks a lot!
Now... let's see what my better half will have to say.
Today a lens purchased for peanuts arrived at home. No comments. Not even a question. A box of film came in too... But she still hasn't seen it (it came to the office).
However, she's liked my latest pics of the cat. What can I say?
I'll let everyone know about this new family member. And, of course, Frank, we'll all see the "before", "during" and "after" photos.
Now... gotta go back to work!

Yep, Oscar... It's called "Work for a Living." And boy what a living we do!
Oh, Joe... I did consider your advice. In fact, I was looking at a handsome Elmarit 135/f2.8... but then, comparing its framelines with the 90mm's I decided that I'm through with long lenses. In fact, a distant dream for me is a Summilux 50.
But yes, let's blame the whole thing on the meter! Just don't buy one!

Go long Francisco, you will just need the 1.25 magnifier.
I think 75mm is long enough for me in general. I may jump on a Canon 100/3.5 if I can find a bargain because it is small sharp a good value, and will look good on a Canon P if one of those ever fall into my lap.
I am interested in how your adventures go with the M3. I really would like a meterless body, sometimes I find the meter distracting, I try to satisfy the LED lights instead of making the image. I may take the battery out of my M6 for a little while.
I just read some very favorable comments about Scala too BTW. Specifically, no other B&W film can match its tonal scale and luminance. This was said in the context that it is a transparency film and this is a benefit of them. Thought you would like to hear that since you are hoarding Scala.

rover, the 100/3.5 is such a tiny lens you won't notice it in your bag.
it looks funny on a cmaera though, don't know why for sure.
longer than a 50, way smaller than the 85/2 - just looks kinda odd to me.
today, i make another attempt to shoot with it and see if the ugly copy i bought works well or not.
pray, i don't drop anything today.

Hoarding Scala? Me? I wish! My film reserves are really modest compared to my photography mentor's, who had to buy a freezer for film (although he says it was for meat). My inventory is around 50 rolls of ISO 400 film, some 15 rolls of assorted K-chrome, 20 plus rolls of Ektachrome 100 and a sampler of odd-speed films (from Velvia to Kodak T-max 3200, incluiding a couple of rolls of that Fuji Neopan 1600 you guys like a lot). Compared to this, my humble stash of 20 rolls of Scala... is sad.
I wish I had more...
It's a feel-good film, Rover!
Joe, lightning very seldom strikes twice on the same spot. How's your Saturday morning going? Coffee so far? It's Colombian today! And a visit to Chicago, to my favorite store too!
