What does GAS stand for ?

But I am done now! I have all the Konica RF lenses apart from the 50/2 (I have a slower non-Konica and the faster 50 though) and the 35/2 (which I substituted for the previous lighter LTM variant).

I feel so at ease now, I wonder how long it will last?

I still have that nagging feeling that I want to own one Leica lens. Maybe a Elmar 50/2.8 in chrome will cure it? But then I have a Leica lens in my enlarger so maybe I should settle with that. Maybe next year...
Done, you write? Surely you jest...you're just getting started 😀 The Leica lens is a good direction to go -- then you can justify a Leica body and after that you are off and running again! More lenses, more bodies, and on and on it goes!

My Dad has a plaque stating "A Sailboat is a Hole in the Water into Which You Throw Money" -- the same may be true of our computer screens, especially when veiwing the "Camera and Coffee" thread. 😉

We should start a thread of GAS stories. We could call it "Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here"

😀

So, I says to myself smugly, I'm through with GAS. No more. Nada.

Then I get this email from Oleg telling me my Zorki 3M has finally made it to the Motherland and I reply, OK, since I'm paying shipping to have it sent back after it's overhauled, would you add in that nice Kiev 4am you have listed on your website? Sure, he says, I'll reserve it for you ...

It never ends ...

Now I know what I´m suffering from,- GAS!!!

This is the first time in my life that I have meet so many people having the problem as me. I don't have a expensiv car or a big house, but I have my cameras and that is the only thing there matters.

It's nice to be here!!!

I've had this disease most of my life. When I was fifteen I went to NYC with my best friend to visit his older brother. Of all the things to see and do in NY do you know what was first on my list, and what I was most insistent on doing?
Going to Karl Heitz's showroom in the D&D Building (the US Alpa distributor) and I spent more than six hours there -- my friends eventually left me and came back later to pick me up! Bless his heart, the poor Alpa salesman brought out every lens and piece of gear made for me to look at/drool over and he must have known I didn't have two nickels to rub together. 😀
I don't know -- GAS or Arrested Development -- or quite possibly both!
