What EXACTLY are the benefits of 1:100 Rodinal?

I described it earlier. Both developments I shook the tank at the start for 10-15 seconds, and then a single inversion cycle half-way through.

So, clearly you are not doing stand development, even though you are using the 1:100 dilution. I would love to know what your agitation strategy is for these 20/25 minutes times.

I need to read these threads more carefully. You mentioned how you agitate in post 30.

Thanks for sharing your results. i have had success with Rodinal 1:25 and 1:50 but not stand developed. I tried 1:100 stand development with some HP5+ but the results were not great.

After effing up another 5 rolls in D-76 this evening, I'm back to Rodinal 1:100 tomorrow...

Here's to hoping I get anything like JB's shots!
