What film developer is your favorite and why ?

When I did minimal agitation with 35mm film, I get bromide streaks.
That is the symptom of the general problem with this approach. You make your results dependend on local exhaustion not on a microscopic level like with edge-effects but over the whole surface of the film. And if this isn't even, it will show and then... well, tastes differ, you may call it "art" and go for it anyway. I'm not.
I found this to be a factor beyond my control. I can apply agitation in a way which 100% prevents this problem but do not know any other factor which does when not agitating. To put it short, I am not doing it and I can not recommend it. In general: If it works for you, that's fine, just don't assume it does for everyone.

That’s my conclusion too. I’ve tried. Often there was no issue, but sometimes - for no obvious reason - I’d get streaks. I don’t take loads of photos, and often can’t remember what is on the start of the roll. I can’t stomach the risk of spoiling what might have been my best-ever photo.
