any advise on a good everyday filter to use with my voigtlander 35mm F2.5 p2
I'm just after protecting the lens really but don't want to loose any image quality.
Many thanks Rich.

I have UV B+W from BH, makes big difference from made in India I used before.
This B+W isn't expensive one either.
I also recommend cheap conical hood from e-bay.
With this one flare seems to be gone.

If you want to protect the lens a rigid hood is enough.

I have a hood on order, should be with me in a couple of days, I run with it like that for a few days and see if I feel there's enough protection.
Thanks for the comments.

A UV/IR filter for your M8. For color accuracy.

Hi,
A lot of us out here don't believe in filters for protection but only for their proper use; like a yellow-green for B&W landscapes and so on.
Use a hood and a lens cap and take care of the thing the rest of the time. Better still two lens caps as you're guaranteed to lose one, one day...
Most of the damaged lenses I've seen have had the filter ring bashed and have survived, if not improved in one case!
