Hi,
I just got a CLE not too long ago. I love this camera, especially after the R2a. However, the rolls of color (asa 400) I just got back have light streaks bottom and top. Looking at the back, there's only foam near the hinge. The foam should go all the way around, yes? So where do I get the foam for it? I see kits on ebay for theCanon gIII, can this be used?
Sorry for so many questions. Thanks.

Jon Goodman (interslice) on ebay is who I recommend. He's currently out of foam
kits and I sent him an email (I need new foam seals too.) If I find out anything useful I will post it.

I make my own seals; it’s quite easy with a bit of planning!
Thin sheet of closed cell foam – I obtained a packet from a local craft store, it had about 5 sheets of varying thicknesses of approx 3mm to 5mm!
Double sided tape – possibly the hardest thing to obtain (and potentially the most expensive bit), I used a printer quality product that is real thin but super sticky (but also removable) – I got mine from work so cant suggest where to get it – maybe suck up to a printer (one that does books, posters, office letterheads etc).
Craft knife!
Cutting board – because you don’t want to get into trouble ruining a table at home do you!
The making part is as easy as running tape down one side of a piece of foam and then cutting a foam strip thin enough to fit in the light seal grooves! Make sure you don’t remove the tape backing until after cutting and your ready to place it on the camera otherwise it will stick to the cutting board…I know J
And get ready to try it more than once; a thin piece of foam with a sticky side is one of the most uncompliant things I have come across!
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if this doesn’t work, it does for me, and it may NOT for you! And PLEASE be careful when cutting, remember Knives are sharp!!!!!!

Jon Goodman's cheapest kit on the 'bay runs $6 for US and $6.50 for anywhere
else, shipping included. There's enough to do 5 cameras in the kit, works for me.
Just heard from Jon and he's posting more kits to ebay tonight, had a big run on
them and sold out quicker than he thought.

and for a larger kit that is double in size to the above:

Also, there's no financial interest in this for me, just glad to help a guy who was so
helpful to me!
Both kits come with tools and profuse instructions.

Jon's the best. Considering what you get for the $6-7, it's one hell of a deal: a bunch of foam to do quite a few cameras (done five and still have plenty left), some great instructions, and helpful emails from Jon to guide you along the way.

I just ordered another kit, was running low. Jon says "hello" and informed me that
he's coming out with a battery adapter that will replace those expensive Wein cells
(for PX625 and PX13) which I'm very much interested in for my Oly 35RC's, Spotmatics, etc.
Here's some great info about his foam seal kits:

I got a kit from Jon to refurb my OM1. Posted to Holland and it was here in a couple of days. Full and comprehensive kit. Jon is very helpfull and there are good instructions on his site. If you need foam for camera seals look no further.

I'd heartily recommend Jon's seal kits to anyone. I bought one a couple of years back for a QL17 GIII and, not only did Jon email an extensive set of PDF instruction specific to the GIII, I've subsequently used the same kit to do WAY more than five cameras (as well as numerous other small jobs). I'll be keen to see his battery adaptors too once they're out.
