I've been out of touch with this, did they make it or did they come to a halt having run out of money?

Freestyle still sells it. They say they're out of stock with more expected in May. Lots of photo gear and supplies are backordered like this, even from major companies like Fuji and Sekonic, due to COVID. So it looks like Ferrania is still in business.

Still waiting for my film. How many years has it been? 5? 6? I've lost count.

Ferrania's Kickstarter was in 2014, so they are in the eighth year of their journey. Internet chatter is low. They said they weren't going to make any announcements until they were ready to resume selling P30. I think COVID all but shut them down for the past couple of years. Who knows if Freestyle's back in stock date of May 5, 2022 is accurate. Hope springs eternal among Ferrania enthusiasts.I've been out of touch with this, did they make it or did they come to a halt having run out of money?

I just logged into Kickstarter for the first time in two years. Sure enough, no updates there. Ferrania's page for the kickstarter on their website (https://www.filmferrania.com/kickstarter) just tells people to set up an account on their shop - it hasn't changed since 2020. Their Twitter account hasn't shown any activity since April 2021.
I can't say I'm surprised; last year was a mess for manufacturing and raw materials. Hopefully it hasn't killed off the project completely, though.

About a year ago, I decided I wanted to give P30 a try, since others' results looked so beautiful. My name has been on several waiting lists since, to no avail. Let's hope that Covid didn't deal Ferrania a death blow, as it did to so many businesses, large and small, that were functioning on marginal budgets.

Are you waiting for film from the Kickstarter? That sucks if you're still waiting for that, since they had been selling film through retailers like Freestyle and on their own website after the Kickstarter ended. Wouldn't be the first company to shaft its KS backers while selling at full retail to others.

The original Kickstarter film was a colour slide film. The B&W film they are selling is a stopgap offering to generate more funds. At one point they offered to convert Kickstarter pledges to the P30 B&W film but I'n not sure how many people took them up on that.
I still have my Kickstarter pledge, but I now have next to no hope hopes of recouping what I put in.

I did. Personally, I like P30 and hope Ferrania resumes production sometime this year. There's a long thread on Photrio about Ferrania that has been dormant since Covid began. One of the last things Dave Bias (their PR guy) said was to expect no updates on P30 until they resume production. They were also working on a 120 variant of P30. Hope that happens too.

Is Bergger out of business? I notice at Freestyle they moved Pancro 400 AND their B&W chemicals (that they ran out of- they still have some stock) to a Dec 31st restock date. This sounds like "we are waiting to see if this continues before we just remove the products" to me.

I converted my Kickstarter benefit to P30 a few years ago. I used to be in touch with Nicola but it's been a long long while. I will have to re-initiate communication. I don't see any reason to think disaster has befallen them recently, any more than it has for the rest of us...
I've been saving my last roll of P30 for a sunny day

I had gotten my original kickstarter order switched to P30 and received that batch of film. I didn't have any issues with scratches on it like others had. I did order a few more rolls when they had it in stock a year or two ago but haven't shot much of it yet.
It's too bad that they haven't fulfilled all of the kickstarter orders yet. Ted did you switch your order to P30 or were you still waiting on the color film?

Looking like Inoviscoat (and FilmoTEC) are in some financial trouble. I don't have a link. Thread on another site.

From their Instagram page:
"Dear Film Community,
It has come to our attention that discussions have started to spread across forums regarding the insolvency of Seal 1818 GmbH, FilmoTec GmbH and InovisCoat GmbH.
We would like to allay any concerns and stop any rumours.
Today, the courts have officially agreed our plans for an organised management financial restructuring, something that has been months in the planning and that we have committed a large investment to support.
We decided to do this so that we can quickly and successfully introduce new working practices, customers and products; which would have been challenging or impossible, due to legacy issues and agreements, that prevented the company from trading the way it needed to (including working with our own ORWO name and Logo, as well as releasing our full range of products under our brand).
We have recently teased the release of new film stocks and we can now confirm that our new colour cine film will be released in July, with our new black and white 100 ASA film coming before that — with shipping expected in April. More information on each of the stocks and how to pre-order will be coming very soon.
This is a brand-new and incredibly exciting chapter in ORWO’s rich history, and we are so excited to develop the company and brand that we are all so passionate about.
Welcome to the analogue revolution.
Best wishes,
The ORWO Team."
