I get nothing when I go there, except "Not Found The requested URL / was not found on this server." The site did work for me last night, but it sure doesn't now. Server problems, perhaps?

Maybe too many people quit and went over to Chris Weeks new site so they had to close up shop ;)

Now this is half-believable. It is rather unfortunate how little activity the forums get--the RF sub-forum has had single threads on the front page for weeks on end because no newer threads existed.

It's a schedule outage, you silly geese! Sean is doing some updates I think, or whatnot.

But it started at 2AM. Doesn't 10 hours seem just slightly excessive for "whatnot?"

Perhaps they've rejected digital in all aspects of their lives?
There's the rub. Instant Messaging replaced by messenger pigeons; photo postings replaced by sky drawings; perhaps the forum was transformed into an ambulant chalkboard? Scorning "digital" makes for funny situations...

I'll shut up and keep on shooting my Tri-X...

I understand they have gone analog and now are just using a real billboard outside the building where the servers had been kept. They hired the 2 guys who manually put the scores up on the wrigley Field scoreboard to change fourm posts every 2 minutes. ON weekends when the site is busy they will use sky writing.

This is surprising, I recall reading a recent post by the owner (forget his name) about how he was essentially giving up his day job to run APUG full time.

Oh if only all my upgrades, moves and changes when that quick! I've done some that were well over a full day of magic. Recently I've watched as one company tried three times (each over 10 hours) of an upgrade only to get it slammed in on the forth.

Computers are not easy, they do what you tell them to do, not what you want them to do!

hybridphoto.com - an offspring of apug.org - is down as well.
Uh-oh. I hope it's not the "Digital vs. Film" Trojan horse that is unleashed on photo forums (forae?) every month, and ran amok arguing with itself, bringing the servers and all the backup power supplies with them

Perhaps it bred with the "Which lens for my camera?" worm...

EVERYONE quick, put on your lens caps, this could be a bad one. Remember, use your safelights to help identify where these little bugs are infecting!
