What happens to our stuff? After we die? Well I'm no expert but I believe those crucial parts of us decompose at roughly the same rate as the rest of our external tissue.

Sell it, to someone you know will take care of it and donate profits.

Leave instructions to wrap everything in bubble wrap; load it into a bunch of boxes; ship it off to KEH. Whoever had to wrap it up and ship it can keep the money.

If any of your stuff actually does have sentimental value, that stuff won't get wrapped up and shipped off no matter what you say. Most of the time wills do not require stict supervision by the coursts. Whoever is the Personal Representative for your estate can distribute it as they see fit. Unless your stuff is extremely valuable, the courts do not really care about what happens to personal effects. Sometimes though survivors can cause trouble for the Personal Representative and insist the estate document the fate of everything. This almost always happens because of pre-existing tension and trouble among the heirs. So if you think your heirs are likely to squabble, then you have to spend a lot of time being specific and detailed now. You can leave an explicit list as to who gets what. Ask around and in your family to see if any of your stuff is important to them.

Hi,
There will still be dealers around, why not give the whole lot (an all or nothing clause needed) to one to sell on commission and the cash to your wife or some good cause?
Or get it all put in the "It's Christmas" thread on RFF...
