I don't know if it's just me, as I've just bought a new Ultron 28, or something else. I've just noticed that a lot of Ultrons 28 are for sale in the classifieds here. I've seen 3 or 4 so in a week or two. Have you noticed this?. What can be the cause?.

On the other hand, I'm willing for mine to arrive. I'll be using it in Germany for my 10 day vacation trip in July. Can't wait!!

I don't know what is happening with other users, but I have just bought one which arrived in the post today so I am looking forward to "test driving" it this weekend.

The 28/1.9 in LTM is discontinued.

I'd guess there's an M-mount version coming to replace it, so probably/possibly people are making room for that..

It's a possibility that CV will come up with a 28 in M mount, but I don't see the point of selling the LTM. CV's M mount lenses are generally more expensive than the LTM, and the Ultron is a fantastic lens in LTM. That can change in the M mount if they decide to redesign it.

And of course, with the LTM mount you can use it in a Leica III, Zorki or whatever.

It's probably just hightened awareness -- you're waiting for yours to arrive so suddenly you're conscious of it every time you see one.

BTW, they're wonderful lenses. Not exactly compact, but beautiful nonetheless. One of the picks of the Voigtländer LTM optics IMHO.

If you are talking about the one I have for sale now, it is just because I am not using it, I prefer using my 35 most of the time. I am not really waiting for an M mount version of it, I believe LTM is more useful than M mount.

Not only the one you're selling, meven. Maybe it's just hightened awareness :). I've seen some Summiluxes too, but those are out of my reach.

Getting ready to play with my new toy, the 28/1.9, I compared the view through the R2A and R viewfinders with the 28mm finder. If you have the lens without the viewfinder, the extreme edges of the viewfinder at the 35mm setting approximate to 28mm field of view. This means in my case that I can use both 28mm (1.9 and 3.5) lenses with only one TOC viewfinder.

I just bought one myself, I picked up one of the "used" ones from cameraquest.com although it looked new to me. I also bought the CV 28mm brightline finder, it is very nice as well, bright and I dont have any flare issues with it either.

I've found that if a thread about a lens get a few pages a bunch of the sames lenses pop up in the classifieds.

Why is that?. I don't see the correlation. Maybe because someone tries to benefit from the praise given to the lens in the thread?. If that's the case, I don't think someone's waiting for a thread about a lens he wants to sell to appear.

Anyway, I bought mine already, but won't be here till May 4.

It just seemed like I would read a new thread about a lens and think "ohh I want one of those" and in the next few days a few pop up for sale, where I hadn't seen any before for weeks. Might just be me, or it could just be the awareness mentioned earlier.

I took my newly acquired 28/1.9 for a test drive this past weekend. Once I got used to swapping from one viewfinder to the other it was fine. So far so good - it's not for sale.
