My underwater photography is used in many ID books, displays in public aquariums, researchers, natural history museums, and even the Smithsonian.
Here are a few photos from a dive trip last weekend.
Metridium farcimen
Hypsypops rubicundus (Garabaldi)
Cyclosalpa bakeri
Metridium senile fimbriatum
You can see all of the photos from that trip here.
You can see most of my photos from dive trips in California here. Most of the better ones are from the last 2005 onward.

Wanna come over to the states and build a closet for my wife?
Thanks! I do live in South Carolina, near Charleston.......

But there is also computers (building and programming) and music (mostly jazz).
What an admirable hobby! Nothing comes close to real wood, no fashion or trend with the natural materials: Make something and it lives with you.

Okay, besides the camera collecting, classic BMW motorcycles are my thing. There's nothing quite like a day cruise or longer road trip on a bike with one or a few classic cameras in the (padded) tank bag.
Those classical boxers are like the film Leicas.. they never wear out, never phase out. My first bike was an R25/2 when I was 16 and the last one was an R100GS.. Have a set of wrenches in the bag, go anywhere on the map; adjust your valves under a tree by the roadside. With the new injection models everything turned electronical, machine belongs to the workshop if something goes wrong, no more "user-interface".

I see that a couple guys are into live steam trains. I love that stuff. There is a great little miniature live steam railroad near me, the PA Live Steamers. I just love the smell of it, more than anything. And of course all the mechanics of it. I want one!

I like to pick raspberries, and hunt for mushrooms. I also have a fairly incomparable collection of rare funk 45's that I love to mix up, mostly in my basement for the kids, but I occasionally play out. Records make me indescribably happy. I love my scooter as well, and do most of my own work.

Botany. It's what got me interested in photography: wanting to share pictures of the plants I've seen on hikes.

Our 15th century reenactment group always makes for nice photography victims.

Love this thread. So cool to see other folks' interests. I mostly like a relaxing stroll through the woods.

i love traveling and whenever i come back from a trip i also come back with way too many photos... photos that often end up never seeing the light of day because there are so many of them. *sigh*
that said, i wish i could afford to travel more.

I play goaltender in ice hockey. I've often wanted to take a small beater film camera out on the ice, but it's impossible to get the giant catcher or blocker gloves on and off in time to do anything useful with it

This sounds like fun idea. You might experiment with mounting an Olympus Stylus Epic or other 1980s compact autofocus camera on your helmet and putting a big foam mushroom or something on the shutter button so that you can hit it with your glove.
