Which reminds me.. On utube the other day, I stumbled on a video showing af speed test between x100s, Ricoh grd (5) and Sony Coolpix A. The x100s was the fastest, Ricoh was a bit slower and the slowest of the three was the Coolpix. All done in god light though.

Nothing for me at the time. My last purchase, a 6x9 drop bed (and the six cut film holders which is what I really wanted) is enough to keep me busy for a while.

If gear is needed for a work I am very quick calculating whether I want to buy or rent, for the other stuff, those related to addition to small cameras I don't really need I usually have a few things which I like and follow the prices in all the sited, when a good deal comes out (usually just before a new model will be released) I buy. The last necessary thing I bought was a lot of white foam, the last I didn't was a pair of Buff's Einstein monoblocks (they didn't send them to where I live) so next I eventually might buy are some other monoblocks, the next luxury, unnecessary stuff I might get is either a GXR or a GR.

After reading about the Sigma 18-35/1.8 and thinking about the DP1M for some time I'm seriously considering a DS1 with that lens. On the other hand...if a M645 200/2.8 came my way.

Depends how I go with my 4x5 Wista, if I find I don't use it enough, I may end up getting a Polaroid 4x5 conversion as a more portable 4x5 option.

Same. The Mamiya 7 and new-to-me M4 should keep me busy for a while. Now to keep telling myself, the 50 Summicron is enough, the 50 Summicron is enough... 😀

Clive, I'm 31 as well and got my first - a near-mint early-model M4 - this month. Sold off my D600 and Nikon AF lenses to fund the Leica and Summicron. I find myself just holding the M4 in my hands and appreciating its craftsmanship. I prefer the format of my Mamiya (6x7), but the tactile feel of the M4 is quite unique.
Do take some time to ponder the limitations of a Leica, as some may be considerable, given your tastes. And it can be a sizable monetary investment, of course.

Probably a Canon G10.
I purchased a Nikon P7000 earlier this year and didn't realize that it couldn't be used remotely and one of the big reasons for me buying a high end P&S was to use it as a remote camera from time to time. So I'll likely sell it for half what I paid for it and purchase an old Canon G10.

I love my G10. I think the only way I'd ever get rid of it is if I had some money burning a hole in my pocket and I could pick up a G15. I like that they've gone back to the fixed screen on the newest version.
