What is Auto ISO (Firmware 2.00)

Hi, My name is Jack and I am new to RF and the Leica M8. I have been reading through Brian Bower's Leica M Photography and he mentions that the firmware upgrade 2.00 included Auto ISO. Can someone explain what this means and how it is implemented? Thanks!

You can implement it through the ISO menu. You can set the maximum ISO you want the camera to use and the minimum shutter speed. I haven't used it in a while, but, as I recall, it works in both manual and auto exposure modes.

Yes, thank you. I kept going through Brian Bower's book and finally found a description (wasn't where I had anticipated). For those of you who may be new to RF and Leica (as I am), Brian Bower's book was really helpful for me as a newbie. The title is: LEICA M Digital Photography -- covers the M8 and M8.2 and includes a separate addendum volume for the M9.
