I just recieved a beautiful Leics 0 replica/reissue. The seller said that the camera had a CLA by DAG in Ausust 2025. I shot my first test roll today on Ilford FP4+ and found a light band on the end of each frame. The camera only has a single curtain and capping is handled by using the lens cap when you are winding the film. These frames were capped properly.

These three frames show the problem.

Fortunately, there is a 30 day return but I want to know more before contacting the seller. Thanks for your help.

Was this on all the frames or just these three?

It looks like the shutter is either slowing drastically at the end of its travel, or it's bouncing (coming to the end of it's travel and then bouncing back for a short time and then closing again). I had that with a Leica M4 and a Nikon F2. Was an easy fix on the M4, not so much on the F2.

If DAG really did the CLA, he's usually pretty good about making things right.

Best,
-Tim

Thanks Tim

The problem is on every frame on the roll. I used every shutter shutter speed during the test roll too.
