What is it (Nikon)?

I know very little about Nikon camera gear. So I found this small leather case today and would like to know what it's meant to hold. Inside dimensions are 2"x4". Is it for RF or SLR? Anyone know? Thanks' JimG

looks like it's for binoculars. Nippon Kogaku made those along with cameras.

Small binoculars. People used to call them "opera glasses."

That case is a zipper width. Too small for opera glasses.
