What is Photography Zine?

Zines absolutely started before Punk, fyi. The first one I recall seeing was made with a typewriter and a mimeograph...
I graduated highschool in 1978 and we had made 4 or 5 twice yearly issues of one for my hometown/local band scene--with a bit of lamenting all those rock star sellouts (I cringe a bit at the glorious hubris of my youth! 🙂 )

No, sadly, I do not.
Not sure I would want to share them now even if I could. 12 sheets of 8x11 1/2 paper, folded in half, just a bit too big to stuff into your jeans back pocket. As I mentioned, made on a mimeograph machine so they were blue/purple on white paper.
My own contribution was NOT photos but type. Some poor, teen, strident screed or other. Mostly I railed against bedtimes and not being able to "do whatever we want". And, by then, I had figured out how to use different fonts and sizes on our typewriter. So, I made the headlines. Provided.

The Zines I see now are much better. Both in content and production.
