What is the Correct Noun for Three or More Leica's?

If a few cameras cause a foreclosure or divorce, then the problems which precipitated those actions are far deeper. The cameras may be only a last straw or a bad excuse for ineptitude in financial planning, social interaction, and maybe in life, in general.

On a somewhat tangential track to describing plurals and words indicating a plurality...

Astronomers and Physicists describe a Black Hole as a star where the matter is so dense and the gravity so strong that not even light can escape its surface. Light from other stars bends around it, nearby matter is sucked in.

So I would describe a dense, massive, collection of Leicas which sucks in money as a “Green Hole”. (at least for US currency)

In order to stick to such strictly scientific terms, there is also a biological definition: asexual (?) gear reproduction.

In my defence, after years of dismissing them in favour of pre-war Contaxes I have become quite partial to the screw mount models. (The Contaxes are still better, though).

But seriously: I've malingered around the site for long enough to see plenty of comings and goings. The only truly fitting collective noun for two or more Leicas is: a "CLA".

I did however think "overdraft" was very good.

Are you sure that you're looking for a "noun" and not an adjective?

He’s looking for what’s called a collective noun, such as a herd of sheep, a school of fish, a flock of geese, etc. In this case, the question is made in jest.

There have been many excellent suggestions so far.

If you delight in the brand: A Pride of Leicas

If you funded your acquisition of rangefinder cameras by raiding a joint account without consent: A Murder of Ms

If you are a male who has done the same in order to obtain a screw mount camera: A Bobbitt of Barnacks

My favourite is a wunch but this forum is too respectable for the explanation...

If you’re one of those people who have to hide your acquisitions from your wife (and you know who you are), then you have a seclusion of Leicas.
