what is the RXA gray more expensive than black??

My r3a is grey and I wish it were black, The grey paint seems to me easy to mar, it's a flat paint where the black paint is a splatter paint, which is sort of like a semi-gloss with bits in it.
If something hard like the strap ring or other metal rubs on the grey paint it can easily make a glossy mark compared to the surrounding flat.
Other than that, the grey looks nice, the controls contrast nicely against the body, making the camera look more complex, for what that's worth.

Perhaps there are less grays than blacks.
Or perhaps it's just like the new black macbooks, which are $200 more than the whites... because, well, because they're a different color.

I like the gray - it has got a nice tactile quality to it. I have a custom coloured R3a - it's gray with a shade of pink, unique as it was created by what can only be described as an "overenthusiastic" paint wielding dancer at Batabano carnival here in Cayman.... Impossible to remove (thought about using car paint restorer T Cut stuff at first, but now I quite like it.. hohum)

Apparently.. and I read this somewhere but I have no frikkin idea where, but the gray has a better rewind knob. Something about not having a hole in it and being sturdier like the RxM series.

Is that the only difference? Maybe. That was enough so that a friend of mine had decided against the black and for the gray.

I want Chrome over Brass on my Bessa...

What?
