what is this?

i recently got this piece of gear but i don't have a clue what is it.
it looks to me as part of an enlarger but i would like another opinion!

for those who ask if there is any other inscription,besides "Carl Zeiss Jena" on the front and "1,2" on the back, the answer is no!

nobody knows what is this or am i asking for a quick answer?

Looks to me as if it might be a microscope substage attachment, but there are no doubt those who know more than I and can say whether this is a possibility.

Mystery to me too. Zeiss makes all kinds of optics- could be from any number of things.

The numbers on the metal only go in one direction so I'm ruling out some optometry thing.

i tried to find details about microscope accessories but no luck!

it is a part of microscope,a substage condenser of slanting light beams.
