Hi all, has anyone ordered from Japan Exposures webshop/bookshop lately? I placed a book order from them around mid october and sent payment via paypal and haven't gotten a reply or order status since then. I've sent them quite a few emails and even got a hold of Dirk of Japan exposures and he redirected me to Kurt who is in charge of the book dept. I've reached out to Kurt and still no reply. Has anyone had this same problem? I'm a longtime customer of theirs for years and never had this "problem" with ordering. thanks all in advance.

Worth dollar or two for a phone call? Crazy idea, but I know first hand that sometimes live takes twists and turns that cause folks to stop everything else.
Another option would be to ask Dirk who's second in command of the book department.

I’ve never ordered a book from them, but I’ve ordered a couple of lenses. Never had a problem.
In fact I ordered a lens from them this past week and they not only shipped it promptly, but I reached out to them to ship to a different address and they responded immediately and accommodated my request. That was all dealing with Dirk.
Maybe book department is having some issues?

You need to cancel your paypal. Paypal gives you 90 days to make a compliant and after that your out of luck. Whatever the issue is, if you haven't received your order by now you're probably never going to get it.

Thanks all for the replies. Yes bill, I think a phone call directly is in order. And Nickla I've ordered paper, chemicals and lenses from them in the past with the same speed and customer service you mentioned. Never a problem in the past. I've asked Dirk already and as mentioned before he redirected me to Kurt with no reply. And yes Beemermark, I've put in a request for a refund with paypal. Thanks again for all the help. WIll keep you guys posted.
