What is your favorite all around PnS Cam?

Hello!
I just made an account here on RFF and I thought I'd make a conversation starter and see what everyone's favorite all around Point and Shoot camera is..

I'd definitely would have to go with my new Oly XA- enough control to take the picture you want and enough compactness to take it anywhere with you too ;).

EDIT:

Technically the XA is a compact rangefinder so I change my favorite to my Olympus Infinity Stylus... Sooo tiny and all you have to do it press the button and it does the rest.

Rollei AFM35 [basically the same as the Fuji Klasse]. Program mode and aperture priority, autofocus, or preset manual focus. Meters very accurately, incredible lens with great flare control.

Second choice, Olympus Mju II (aka Style Epic). Almost no manual control at all, but it's tiny, the spot meter is very useful and it takes good pictures.
 
I love the lens on my Yashica T4, loved the size of my original Stylus but now I like my Canon A570. Waiting on one with a 24mm lens.
 
This question/discussion is somewhat of a FAQ here, but my vote goes to my Contax T-3...

My current P&S is a Canon SD550, which had the quickest AF/shutter response of any small digicam when I bought it.

I have an Olympus XA, which I never used that much, though it's a nifty, solid little camera with a great lens (like the Stylus). But what makes a manual focus compact rangefinder camera a point-and-shoot??

i guess technically it's not a point and shoot but i still consider it one due to it's size and also due to the fact that most the time i can't see the yellow square in the viewfinder so i have to guess the distance usually lol..

i'm sorry, i didn't realize this was a FAQ-ed question, i'm new here. :D

I use four P&S cameras regularly-the Contax T2, Nikon Ti28, Ricoh GRD2 and the Leica D-Lux3. If I had to choose just one it would probably be the GRD2.
 
What - do digicams? I vote for the Casio Exilim - lots of power in your pocket with a package the size of 3 stacked credit cards. Can't be beat for an always with you camera.

Only P&S camera I have is Konica POP which is good in it's class. Other my compact cameras require setting at least distance, prefocus, adjust EV, some need to set lens to specific focal length or even set aperture.

I'm not ranting. My mom and dad have got compacts with AF from me (bad idea?) and most of shots are out of focus just because they don't prefocus by half-pressing release button. Probably POP with it's fixed focus lens as true P&S would be better choice.
 
Film: Rollei 35 (though not really a p&s)

Digital: last year it was the lx3... this year.... we'll see :)
 
On the film side it would be the Contax T3 or my Leica CM (loved the Nikon 28ti but I don't own it any more). In the digital world I'd have to say my GRDII (Sigma DP1 for file quality but miserable handling).

Lots of good P&S cameras out there. The Minolta TC-1 is quite an engineering achievement as well, reaaaaly nice in black if you can find one :)

I really liked the first Olympus Stylus, the Stylus Epic has a different shape that doesn't suit me so well.
Now the P&S I like the best is the Pentax UC-1. I'd like to try the Nikon 35Ti.

Yashica T4. What a great lens. I also like the Minilux but the T4 is more pocketable. The original clam shell Stylus is also a favorite.
 
I am quite fond of Ricoh's point and shoots. The GRD of course but also the GR1V and the ugly duckling FF3 Super.
 
Yashica T5. Great Zeiss lens and that waist level scope. :)

Ray, have you tried Contax T2? I got T2 and Minilux around the same time. Being similar in specs(aperture-priority, manual focusing option, p mode, superb lens...), T2 with its superior viewfinder & design proves to be a better camera.
 
Not quite a point and shoot, but the Rollei 35T.

I've had and sold 2 XA's, and a 35ti. Kept the Rollei though.

(had a Hexar AF too, but that wasn't exactly mine, and I really wish I hadn't had to give it back after a couple years...)
