Smaug, over the decades i probably had 4 of them. In the '70s it was my primary camera for climbing trips. I've probably shot 500 rolls of film with a Rollei 35.

My all-time favourite is Mamiya RB67, I really enjoy using it. Nowadays I am using my Voigtländer Bessa R2 quite alot. It has a very nice rangefinder and I have a wonderful Nikon 50 mm f2 for it.

My ancient M8. After years of owning it AND being disappointed by it, I have found how to make it shine and I am madly in love.

While I miss the conveniences of modern digital cameras such as Wifi and good low light / high ISO performance, I am happily living with the limitations of the M8. I only shoot with it in ideal light and I'm getting a gadget that will allow my phone to access my SD card wirelessly.

I can't pick "one favorite camera" but if I absolutely had to reduce my camera kit to just one camera, at this point it would most likely be the Leica CL (digital).

However, my latest Polaroid SLR670x by MiNT is another contender for that spot. I just love making photos with it, and I love the photos it makes. 🙂

I'm not sure I've shot 500 rolls in my whole LIFE, (including 120) with all my cameras combined! I've got probably 10 rolls through Rollei 35's.

Smaug, on month-long climbing expeditions in Alaska, i'd carry 25-30 rolls of Kodachrome 25 (back in the day).

Working my way through a roll with an Original Diana. Quite the lightweight 6x6 (5x5?) and IF you have confidence in it....a real release from overcomplicaled gear. We shall see.....ektachrome loaded in. The Diana is the only camera you can tell is loaded by weight! ;-)

I've having a lot of fun shooting my M6 with a 35mm Summaron lens. The lightweight and small form factor of the lens combined with the metered camera have finally given me the experience I was looking for in the Leica system.

I just picked up a couple Nikon lenses at a thrift store for $20. (50/1.8 and a 75-200/3.8) I had no Nikon bodies, so I went on ebay and picked up an FG for around $40. I really like this little camera, even though it isn't one of the respected favorites. It seems to do EVERYTHING, and it's small. I just bought a Tokina 28-80/3.5-4.5 for it; this will make a nice little kit, and it's cheap enough, that if I become aware of an aspiring photographer, I can just give it to him or her.
