I just got back a flim I shot using my R2 with the 35/2.5 Skopar. It was just an accidental shot, but the flare in the photo bothers me a bit as the pics before and after show nothing that's alike.
I was standing in a shadowed doorway when that happended.
So I ask myself: Is my 35mm somehow affected? Or are the lightseals of my Rs (bought it used) in need of replacement?
Best regards from Vienna

Is this the only occurrance, Des? Then I don't know what could cause it in the camera.
If it happens more often, it can be a leak via the back door or the shutter. Don't know the Bessa enough to tell. Did you check the camera with a bright light?
The photo doesn't show a very bright day, otherwise it could have been a long slow leak somewhere around the shutter. But only if this shot was long after the one before. Assuming you wind directly after a shot.

It doesnt look like light seal falure to me, they always have defined re-occuring shapes to them. It wasnt there before or after you say? Just a stab in the dark here but did you remember if you cupped the lens with your hand just before you took the shot or were you moving from a warm interior to the outside? The overall picture is a bit soft (which this lens isnt) and it looks like a cold day outside, I was thinking maybe the lens fogged from a sudden temperature change. It wasnt there afterward because they aclimatize pretty quickly. thats my guess anyways.
