Time for some new clothes, still sporting the original "sandpaper" covering that I actually kind of like... but its worn to the point its pretty nasty and well dirty.
I'm thinking of switching it up with a grey leather or something,
I'm really undecided so maybe you might chime in with your opinion of what would look good on a Black Chrome M8 (with lots of patina)
Ready set go!
Bonus points for photo's

I put gray griptac on a Zorki once. Griptac is great stuff. I'm also a fan of Aki-Asahi's covers. Actually, I bought a black vulcanite-style covering from him for an M8, but I ended up with an M9...so if you decide to go traditional, let me know, I'll sell it to ya cheap!
That black vulcanite/griptac style is what I would recommend.
Black bodies don't look good with colors on them imo.
Black on black is classic.

I agree, colors can be rather charming on a silver body, but I like black on black. I even got a black dot for my M6!

I could see gray on a black body. The exact shade of gray could be important. In my mind's eye, I see a dark gray--say, charcoal. Don't know if that is available, though.

The covering used on the M8.2 is quite nice.

cameraleather sells a charcoal griptac; I had a black M7 with that on it, years ago. It was indeed pretty nice.
