What paint hood interior?

Good day, I have a problem with finding a suitable paint or ink for the interior of a lens hood I am refinishing.The hood is for a Leitz Summaron and has a number of tiny circular light baffles which I am told to preserve for best results.The problem is to find a matt black paint which is thin enough in finish not to fill up the grooves between the circular rings(sort of like a thread) Every matt black paint I have tried is too thick.The grooves are filled up.Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
 
You'll have to thin it out w/ the proper thinner and apply w/ a fine brush. I've read that you can add a little Paprika spice (no kidding), mixed thoroughly, to make it even duller, but I haven't tried it. Also make sure your paint is for metal--NOT for plastics.

Krylon Ultra-Flat black is what I usually use for flocking, but that is probably going to be too thick. I'd suggest that you try flat black "stove paint," found in most hardware stores. It is the stuff used to paint old-fashioned cast-iron wood-burning stoves. It is very flat and can be thinned and applied with an air brush with no problem.
