I do use film for five years in digital time. In the past photography predominantly on film. Just because it was no digital.
So many of us are using film for 30+. Naturally. 🙂

I'm a late responder. Presently no darkroom, but I could use one for printing.

Answer to your question: Old school.

In my case shooting film for image capture without a regard to printing or scanning (I intend on wet printing) because I lack a darkroom annoys people greatly.

Another answer to your question: annoying people to annoy people.

Finished the questionnaire but I don't really fit into any of the shooting categories, OR, I fit into a few of them.
I used to be a professional photographer, then part time. Now I'm a hobbyist and a student, studying in a field other than photography but young enough to have a second career ahead of me. Am I a "retired" pro photographer? A Hobbyist? A Student?

Who shoot films: for me, People who understand films and know what photography in conseptual shooting can bring their vision to a different creative level than the modern media. I am a dedicated film shooter and I always keep in touch with analouge photography.

Why do film shooters frequently sound like they think they are superior?

I am from the past.
The Millennials have it right!
Phone camera for imaging, film for photography.
The camera companies have it all wrong!
Its not bigger and worse focusing lenses. (Leica and Zeiss).
Digital systems are out of date.
Portability and easy user interface.

Imaging for social media, Film-Photography for serious work.
I have no need to update equipment.
Film is plentiful, process really easy.
