I have been in the market for a good copy of the Olympus Pen 42/1.2 for a couple of months, to use on NEX, and I came across this in an eBay auction:

WTF? The lens has the look of an OM lens but the focal length of the Pen 1.2. I missed the chance to buy it, but has anyone ever seen it before? Would it work on APS-C as the Pen version does?

Looks very interesting for a C mount lens.

As Raid said, it's a C-mount lens. It would probably not work on APS-C, due to it's small image circle. There are however adapters.
On a 4/3-camera, which has a significantly smaller sensor, it produces an image all the way to the edges.

Well, I was aware it was a C-mount lens, that much was in the description. I've since discovered that this lens does indeed cover the full image circle of APS-C, presumably because it's the Pen 42/1.2 in a different housing. I bid on and lost another one more recently, but one of these days I will have to pick one up.

Have you seen any pictures taken with it?

Well, there are some on flickr from the Pen version, here's somebody's set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vishalsoniji/4595635208/
But I'm not certain this is the very same formula, though the complete coverage suggests that it is. And it may have different coatings, etc. The Pen version is thought to be very good and is generally priced accordingly.

Those Canon shooters really have a lot of money to burn on old manual lenses.
