What the...?!

Interesting since I've never seen a scam that payment is preferred via paypal. Usually a scammer will want payment via an off eBay service like Western Union or other money gram service..
 
I just ran the serial number on that lens through google. The lens was listed on rangefinderforum in April of this year by a member living in Chicago. It appears that the lens was sold to another member living in California. Smae three pictures.
 
So if the post here was asking $2600, what is going on?? But as someone else mentioned, scams are usually done off eBay and not via PayPal. This is definitely very, very strange.

Ahh! The listing has been removed.

That had to be one of the most shady listings I've ever seen. This is why I'm very skeptical of eBay and would much rather wait for any lens I'm looking for to show up here on RFF. Everyone here is great and I've never even heard of problems with scams and the like.
