What tripod and head (ballhead or otherwise) do you own/use?

Been using an old gitzo

Been using an old gitzo cremalier 3 for about 15 years. Tried a variety of ball heads. Those seemed to be cheaply made and would creep. Finally bit the bullet & bought an arca Swiss b1 ball head. Tripod is a bit heavy. Like it that way. B-1 doesn't creep and friction can be fine tuned. Have even used a 600 f4 on it...that was about the limit. That lens didn't creep at all. Anyway, long term experience, 5-cents worth.

40-year old Gitzo Gilux Reporter with Gitzo's ball and socket head, bought new.

Great for medium format, though in today's terms, heavy to carry - but on the plus side it's solid and reliable.

And I may be one of the few left to use a Leica tripod, a 35 year old Leitz Tiltall. I am from the old school of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". It has always worked for me in those occasions when I needed a tripod. Even with my Mamiya 7 or a Speed Graphic.

The head wore out, but I'm still using Tiltall legs with a Gitzo center column and the original Acratech ball head. The legs are showing signs of age, though.

I use tripods all the time, whenever I can. An old Zone VI Lightweight has gotten alot of use. Bought new 30 years ago and good as new.

Sinar FOBA tripods, Leitz Tiltall, Bogen Manfrotto (big one) and a few others.

I also have a Plaubel Studio Stand in my basement Studio that could easily support the front end of a car. :p

All of these get use.

Heads - Gimbal, Ball Head, Manfrotto, Plaubel & Sinar. I use whatever is appropriate for what I am doing.
