What will be your LAST camera that you purchase?

My last film camera is likely to be the Hexar RF Limited I bought a little over a year ago. I cannot see a need to add another film camera, unless I get a 5x7 LF camera, which I doubt I will.

Eventually I think I will add two digital cameras, one small pocket sketch pad camera like the GR-digital (with faster RAW mode and hopefully a 35 lens) and a digital M mount RF camera. Since I doubt digital cameras will last more than about 10 years and I am 41, I guess that it is likely that I will need to re-iterate these digital cameras a couple of times. Well, that is if there finally are digital cameras available that I find worth buying, which is not the case today, though I think we are getting close to that point.

On the other hand, if my Hexar RF dies, I will still have the Leica M2 and M4 and they will most likely last longer than me, so no need to get another film camera.

If my M3 lasts me until March 2052 (which is when the Death Clock has me buying the farm) then I don't need a "last camera." If my M3 isn't going to last that long then maybe I should start saving my pennies for an MP. Given my current income it should only take me, oh a few years to save up enough funds for the a la carte camera I want.

Of course, I only started this camera nonsense a few months ago so the answer might be different a few months from now.

According to the deathclock I'll die at 95 in 2048! I can't even imagine what imaging technology will be like then, but maybe if I can arrange to get my personality downloaded into new imaging technology, I can be a camera. No more GAS!!! Finally!
