what will happen to my film?

It certainly will be worse than Y2K... :) Something might happen, but less to your film than to your digital cameras and archive.

A solar storm in 2012 maybe, possibly, could be, might happen, could be bigger than a bazillion H bombs! It's right up there with our other favourite topic of conjecture "film's dead"

he.
Finally, all the end-of-world prophets will be right. And you can record it on 600 rolls.
Hell, that's 900 seconds of 24 fps movie you could do :)
the question is, will there be somebody to develop it (and to watch it).

Makes the case for a M2, a 35 and lots of film in lead bags more plausible. Can you imagine all those digital cameras going "frzzzz" and ceasing function - as well as all fuel injections dying. Analog rules!!!!

Like a giant EMP via the hand of god! What a shake up for a digital society if it does happen ... it could cause real hardship for many innocent victims though!

And good ol' carbs will keep on rockin. Time to stock up on Holley Street Avengers :p

I better keep my `83 Olds, oh it has a computer controlled carb si I guess I am screwed too.

We may as well face it, nothing is going to work, No radio, TV, electric grid, internet.

I'm really worried about what's going to give me the smoothest OOF elements in this situation. And do I just shoot with a 50 or should I go for a 35 / 50 / 90 combo?

All conjecture indeed, but this cycle has been unusually low for far too long, so it's reasonable to suspect that the upswing might have a little more "oomph" than normal. 100 million H-bombs abnormal? Probably not.

Start buying big lead boxes! Or lead ammunition. You'll probably need the latter more than the film.

Good thing I have some Ragnar Benson books somewhere in my computer :p

the 100 million hydrogen bombs should be understood as "on the Sun's surface".
Which is definitely not so unbearable as down here in Eindhoven.
