What would Christmas be without another bag thread?

I am on RFF to keep from being bored to death.

What I really want to know is how good is the Domke F8 Rugged Wear bag? Can the goofy Domke label be removed without ugly-fying the bag? Will it hold two FE2 and one FM2 cameras?

Is it the ultimate bag? Bah-humbug.

as much as i like a good bag thread...can't help with this one...as i don't know that model...i will say that it looks too small for your purpose.

the f6 would be a better fit in the domke line.

I had the rugged wear f-803. I liked the rugged wear quite a bit, but the bag was too big for me (as I prefer to go small with something like the f-5xb). The rugged wear looks good, is durable, and can repel water.

If you want a Domke, I can attest to the amount of cameras that I have put in a F803 I have one and a copy of one. In bag A (proper one) A nikon D90 with kit zoom, Fuji Gs645s, a film slr with a 50mm, Nikor 35mm G lens along with film and loads of other bits. In the other are two Yashicamats a film SLR with 50mm 24mm and 135mm loads of film and a Minolta light meter. I have room to spare in each bag too. The bag you mentioned did look a bit small though, is there any place that you can try them out.

Bags seem to be big this holiday season. I saw an article on fancy camera
bags in Shutterbug and also Professional Photographer magazine recently. I just buy one yet.

Yep, too small. I was thinking they had a medium sized bag. Well, they do have rugged wear bags in other styles/sizes.

I like the looks of the rugged wear but HATE that domke label.

F6? Need to check into that bag, thanks, Joe.:)

i looked at think tank bags at our local pro shop yesterday. they sure seemed rugged and manly, made of fire hose canvas or something similar. tag is understated.

I have a Think Tank Retrospective 30 (pinestone).

Plenty of room for several bodies and lenses (currently OM2, OM3, 4 zuiko lenses and some small stuff, with room to spare).

It hangs rather comfortably, is rugged, resists dirt nicely, ... I like it.

Stefan.

My christmas present to myself this year was a Delsey Corium 05 genuine leather bag with enough space for my 3 RF bodies and 4 lenses.

Hmmm...all kinds of Army/Navy surplus bags like this and even messenger bags:

Prices from $14.95 and up! Colors in black, olive drab, khaki and camos.

I have the ultimate bag. If I'm taking more than one body with one lens I bring my bag. When I want a different lens I ask her for it and she hands it to me. She knows lenses by now.
