Punk is still around, just not in NY (and honestly, I can't think of any decent NY bands in recent years). The best bands have always been from Berkeley, Ca and Gainesville, Fl anyways.

I do wish I could have seen a show there. Thats probably why I'm pretty indifferent to its closing, though, as I had never even been to NY, so that was all so distant from me.

Anyways, right now I want a plane ticket to Gainesville, Fl so I can go to the The FEST next weekend and an MP :)

Yes, more time to shoot.
A 50 Summilux would be nice.
And I am itching currently for a wet darkroom.

Yeah, that's the thing...my personal knowledge of punk is pretty much recordings-only, as CBGB was mainly heavier stuff while I was in college. And despite the fact it was a convenient six blocks away, I only saw a few shows there myself, including a couple open mics featuring friends of mine.

It's more the neighborhood vibe, I guess. Which is odd for me to say, since it hasn't has that vibe for years. And I've been living in LA for the last five, anyway.

Back to photo gear. Okay, okay; I want some home dev equipment. Oh, wait...I mean, I want some time to do home developing. Dang.

Cheers,
