I don't think this poll exists yet, which surprised me. I keep seeing statements in threads like "I'm a 50 shooter," "I'm a 35 shooter," (that was me) etc. So I went looking and didn't find a poll. Let's see what members consider their focal length. I tried to cover as many FL that I knew. If you've got a unaccounted for FL, please pick the closest.

50 for me. I'm too shy for 35 and anything longer and I'm struggling to focus quickly.

50mm...there's a greater emphasis on composition with it, though i'd like a 35mm, which seems to place a greater emphasis on content.

I like that distinction.

I went with 40, even though I'm currently using the GSN with a 45. Both the CL and Canonet have 40. I also have been known to put a 50 on the CL.

The best camera is one that still works!
50mm ... I love some of my lenses in my 50 kit and any doubt I had about this length has been dispelled by my new 1.2 Canon. I adore this lens and this focal length in general ... 35's are ok for a change but I keep coming back to 50 and and it invariably provides me with my best photos!

50mm for now but want a wideangle for sure. thinking 25mm will make a nice kit with the 50mm.

No doubt, I like the 21 and 28 Fl but my favourite is 50. It suits my way of taking photos.

I bought my Bessa just so I could use the 12mm Heliar. Before that I was strictly SLR (35 and 6x7) and 4x5.
I've since expanded my collection to include 35,50 and 90. I no longer use my 35slr (Canon AE-1), but I do continue to use my Pentax 6x7 for landscapes and such. I also have a Noblex panoramic, but that's a whole different aesthetic.
I've given up on 4x5 (even with a roll back), it's just too much of a hassle at airports and modern films are good enough that the difference between 6x7 and 4x5 isn't really a factor. I do miss the tilts and swings sometimes.
Perspective correction with Photoshop helps, but there is no adjustment that will match a tilted film plane.

Probably THE determining factor. I like 50 frame lines, but the 35 just gives me more satisfaction. I like the versatility.

For my CLE I use the 40mm Rokkor it came with and it's a fine lens. Recently bought a CV 25/4P and that's the whole of my extensive RF outfit
I don't do long lenses.

While I voted "50", it really depends on the subject matter. For airplanes, one of my favorite subjects, the 35 works much better.

I'm voting 50, because I've always loved that focal length, but I've been using and enjoying my 35 more than usual lately.

My classic lens is the Super-Angulon 21mm..but for people in the street I use the 35mm..

Picked 25.
Picked 25.
Recently have been using the 25 and must say it is a delight. It doesn't seem to me to be too wide and the perspective is very appealing. It used to be the 35 which I still love but this 25 has swooped me up presently.

50mm, always. I bought a 35 to use on my R-D1, and I feel uncomfortable using it on an M6.

I've gotten my best shots with a 35mm, but I wish I were better with the 28mm. Does that make any sense? I can't seem to do well with the 28mm, but when I see really talented work with the lens (eg Trent Parke), I try my hand at it again. Should I stop already??

Now that RF digital exists and there is a crop factor to consider, a poll like this isn't really saying much unless everybody also indicates which camera they are using...
...because using a 50mm on an M7 isn't the same as using a 50mm on an M8 due to the crop factor.
