I've been thinking of doing a bag shot for a while, but usually I don't use a bag, and when I do it is mostly because I might have to (like it's big chance of rain etc). And in those cases I usually carry a bag full of air and a camera. Sometimes when I use my SLR I might carry an extra macro lens.
One thing I wonder though, what's with everyone carrying a knife?

... a Kobalux 28/3.5.
Great to hear about those non-Leica (non-CV) M-mount lenses.
They are very hard to come by here in Germany.

Nice to see someone else likes the look one gets from bulbs. I also have quite a few, clear, blue, and IR. Getting expensive to come by on ebay. I have never tried to buy from the two companies (if they still do) who still sell them.
Have you, or have you gleaned them from ebay?

No, I solicit retired photographers and check ads on Craig's List.
I use flashbulbs, my event photography is illuminated by them.

My small kit. I think I paid $12.99 for this pack and it's been all over with me. It's great, because it is so unobtrusive. I can wear it slug over my shoulder or across my chest. Slung around the waist it disappears under clothing and takes the weight off your back. On some occasions I've managed to squeeze an additional M body and lens in there...
My other set up is a now well worn green Billingham L2 that easily takes 2 x M bodies and a Nikon F2 or F2, plus extra lenses and other goodies.

My rangefinders fits very well in a chinese bag, bought it on ebay. M6, IIIc and the M4 belong to Helen H before it landed in Norway. Sekonic L308s, b&w film from Ilford, and Portra 160/400 if colors.
My Domke F6 contains a Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8, Nikon F100, Nikon FE2, Nikon FE, Hasselblad 500 cm, Sekonic L-308s.
I mostly carry my favourite cameras/lenses on my shoulders, the M6 with 35mm summicron and FE2 with a 105 f/2.5, great combo.

There are a lot of bags in this thread that I want :
Looking at all the gear that goes in them, they must be like the TARDIS - bigger on the inside than the outside.
Presumably they also have Timelord technology that allows them to weight under 4lbs. regardless of how much gear is put in them.

Usually some variant of this if I'm carrying a bag at all...
My F3/T and Leica take turns in the one pocket depending on what I'm doing, and the Hasselblad usually carries a 150/4 CF or occasionally a 250/5.6 CF alongside. Sometimes the Rollei or Pentax 67 take its place, too...
There were a few nights this summer when I was lugging the 500C, a 500EL/M, the 80/2.8, the 150/4 and my F3/T with the 35/1.4 and a Gitzo Reporter around NYC to work on a long term series I've been doing in Lower Manhattan. Those were rough nights.

Why? Canon is a respected brand.
