Hey I'm sure a lot of us just sit and chill while surfing RFF. Sometimes its coffee, tea, orange juice, mineral water. Other times it's wine, beer, rum, scotch.

I'm always looking for something new. So I'm letting you know right now I'm drinking a glass of 2001 red wine from Portugal, Periquita from Jose Maria da Fonseca. Very nice! I may attach a pic for this after I'm thru my first sip.

cheers, sante, skol, prosit etc etc ...

Fosters Bitter - cheap but much better than that excuse for a lager they sell. Plus a bit of Jim Beam in another glass... 🙂

William

Ricard, check out Portugese wines they can be very good for the price , prolly < 13$ / 75cl

william, bitters and Beam; sounds like a drink to me.. See if you can find Hook Norton a UK bitters very tasty, Beam well whats to be said there. Maybe Turkey? Definitely Bi Cultural UK/UL tho

Yellow Tail Shiraz. Unusual because I am much more of a beer drinker! My wife is off wine for a while and she is not fond of the Shiraz so I asked her to pick me up a bottle while she was driving past the LCBO today. Ain't she a peach?

Pepsi One, at the current time. Actually, not in a glass or cup, in a can. 🙂

Smiley,
I drink the Yellow Tail Shiraz often but tonight was my oldest sons 13th Bday so we had about 50 people over...it was Crown Royal and diet coke 😀

Todd

Smiley nice bride, Yellowtail has been on a hot list for a while now.
Rico ; Bas Armagnac.. very tasteful, I'll be right over
DMR, not even with ice and a glass ?
Todd, Crown Royal, my dad never gave me Crown Royal for my 13th you are a progressive dad!

Last time I had Yellow Tail Shiraz it seemed too acidic or something. Maybe it was just a bad batch.

It turns out that Syrah (the same grape variety, I think) grows well here in North Carolina and makes a slightly more delicate wine. However, the local varietal wines are too pricey for everyday consumption.

Rico, One Sunday, after closing time, as the sun went down, I swam nekkid in the huge Raymond swimming pool (St Helena CA) with a delightful, but ultimately unattainable young lady from the tasting room. Thanks for the memory 😉

Actually, the "unobtainable" part was a blessing. Her husband was huge.

No, no, **NO**, not Foster's anything. Here are some alternatives...

- James Squire
- Jamieson's
- James Boag
- Cascade
- Grand Ridge
- Haagen

and that's if you MUST go Australian. I have Mac's Black in my glass right
now (from N.Z.).

p.s. actually CUB (Fosters, Victoria Bitter, Carlton etc) have a new dark ale that
is quite OK. Nice and cheap here too.
