why do you like the iiic more? they're almost the same, no?

the contax ii is a bit heavy on the left side. for sitting on a shelf (it's not like i'd use this thing very often, hence why i don't have one already) i prefer the iia.

Looking at the original list
I did acquire an SP 2005 w 35/1.8
It is embarrassingly still unused

I never went with a digital Leica - still a wish list item
Didn't get the 75-90 summicron
Didn't get the OM-4T NIB ( my longest owned camera and most used is the OM-4T from 1987)
Never got a Rollie 3003
Never got a TLR

I detoured into Nikon RF and SLR
I got a nice F,FM2n, FM3a and appropriate lenses

Looking now for more Nikon RFs -
Black S3 2000 kit
Black SP classic
Black S3 Olympic w Olympic lens

Also looking for an original black S2 new in box at a garage sale for $10
Along with a 50/1.1 and shade/case for another $10

I don't like the IIIc more. It's just that if you're buying it for its classic status, rather than to use, the IIIc is the first cast-chassis model.

The dream cameras on my wishlist are both of almost "unicorn" status:

Of course, I'd also be delighted with a digital Leica M of some sort, especially an M10. This is probably a much more realistic goal, given my finances and my wife's awareness of it.
