From this statement I would guess you shot them at the 1000th speed. It looks to me like the speed is too fast. I had this problem on an M2. Looks like first curtain spring tension is too low from the pics. You can check yourself by taking the lens off, opening up the back and firing the shutter with the camera in front of an old style tv. At 1000 you should see a curved line from top curving to the left approx 2-3 mm wide. As you change to 500 and 250 the line widens. This is how I checked mine, adjusted the curtain roller tension and then fine tuned with a home made speed tester.
You can of course pay someone $$$ to do it for you.
Perhaps before you do mess with it, do a test roll at the 1000, 500 and 250 speeds and identify that this is indeed the problem.
